    In Haiti, a  huge number of people were forced to leave by threatened , physical violence and destroying their shelters, including setting fire to the shelters. This event made the top United Nations humanitarian official in Haiti express grave concern. The acting UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Haiti, Ross Mountain stated that Haitian authorities have to protect the rights of all the citizens, including IDPs(internally displaced persons). And then Mr. Mountain met Rose Anne Auguste who is in charge of the human rights and the extreme poverty. They both found the crimer and supported the country’s recovery efforts, including the promoted stability and security, and strengthened the rule of law, respect for human rights and good governance.

    From this news I can know the UN can help promote the human rights better. Sometimes UN is useless because it can’t do any real work but have a meeting. But it is still an important organization in the world. From this news article we know that UN can in charge of the human rights. They protect the people in the world and keep peace. Without the help of the UN, the IDPs may still increase, so the UN is necessary.

    The UN is committed to promote the countries’ international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights and realize the cooperation between the world peace. Although it hasn’t got much power, it still work hard to make the world a better place, the work also includes sustainable development, environment and refugee protection, rescue victims, and the fight against terrorism, etc. Maybe it still has to improve it self, such as: unfair. But I believe it can be better and powerful in the future if we support it.
