Honorable Chair, Esteemed Fellow Delegates,
The delegation of Israel feels that the environment of the world is getting worse and worse, there is a lot of pollution in the state. There is 6,018 million tons of greenhouse gases emitted in China, it is bad for the Earth and humans, also the greenhouse gases make the hole on the ozone layer around the Earth is become bigger and bigger, it will let the ultraviolet rays get through the atmosphere, it will increases the global warming, so Israel wants all the member state not use so much fuels like gas, coal, oil and gasoline, the Israel suggests the rich states give the money to the poor states to help them to develop the new clean energy, like build the wind energy station and solar panels, these will help these poor states which want to develop produce less greenhouse gases,
Thank You,

“Honourable Chair, Esteemed Fellow Delegates,he delegation of Bahamas is a developed country. It is the richest country in Caribbean. Its environmental pollution is not very serious, but there was a tanker called “Wang Wei” has been sunk on November 19, 2002 because of weather and ship’s material was bad and old. It makes much pollution in the sea. On August 31, 2010, Bahamas Environment Minister said that they were doing their best to solve the pollution about oil spilling, and before they finished that, they would not give anyone a right to extract oil. It has signed the Climate Change-Kyoto Protocol and Ozone Layer Protection to call on more and more countries to protect environment. However, because of global warming, some scientists said that Bahamas will lose about 65% of their GDP, and it is a big loss to Bahamas. Bahamas wants that every country to be more care about the material for building tanker because the sea is important to the living things, we must protect it. What’s more, Bahamas thinks that every country should have good education for environment because we musttell our descendant pollution is significant to humans. The Delegation of Bahamas hopes it can think of some good ways to solve the pollution problem. Thank you, the delegation of Bahamas Yields the floor to the Chair.
“Honorable Chair ,Esteemed Fellow Delegates,
The Delegation of Nigeria feels that the pollution of the world is a big problem for countries to develop. Nigeria is a country that near the sea and crude oil is this country’s main export resource. The government uses this money to develop the country. But a company from Netherlands collects too much oil from a district of Nigeria which is called Ogoni and pollutes the local environment. Now, the citizen in Ogoni’s drink water was polluted and also destroy that area’s weak environment. The official report said that Ogoni district needs the world biggest clean project or the pollution area would be bigger. This make the government use much more money on save drinking water problem and less money on development. So if country want to develop, it should save the environment problem first.
Thank you,
The Delegation of Nigeria Yields the floor to the Chair.
Honorable Chair, Esteemed Fellow Delegates.
The delegation of Colombia hopes developed countries can give a hand to the developing countries to solve the pollution problem. Also Colombia strongly hopes the developing countries would not only care about becoming a developed country, but also the environment. A developing country wants to solve the pollution problem but cannot afford it because the clean energy has high price. But there is a way to fix it. In 2003, the WorldBank and the Colombian governmentsigned a contract for the future resources to conduct three studies Colombia's environmental management system and policies of the World Bank as part of the Colombian National Environmental Analysis. Colombia follows the World Bank policies on environmental protection and helps manage the environment system. Colombia thinks the country may do the same way to get help if it is necessary.
Thank you, The Delegation of Colombia Yields the floor back to the Chair.
Honourable chair, fellow delegates. Rep. of Korea is a developed country. With the development of country, there will have pollution. If the environment is be polluted, countries will have no place to build factories or buildings. For example, on April. 7th, 2013, the Department of the Environment in Rep. of Korea said that there was serious air pollution in Seoul and cities around it. Most of the pollution was from factories and tail gas. On December 7th, 2013, the west coast of Rep. of Korea was been polluted by crude oil. Over 5 thousand hectares of the fisheries were be polluted. Rep. of Korea wants to help to solve this problem. The developed countries like the U.S. can stop developing for a while so that they can solve the pollution in their countries. The developing countries can still develop their countries, but make sure that developing countries will reduce pollution and protect their environment. Thank you,
The delegation of Rep. of Korea Yields the floor to the Chair
“Honorable chair, the following delegates, The delegate of Albania thinks Albania and so many other countries are developing countries. Although we know the environment is really important and we should protect it. But if the Albania and the other developing countries try to solve that problems and control that pollution by some high technology, our development will get hurt. Some developed countries like U.S are still cause a lot of pollution. Observing that the U.S is the second largest producer of carbon dioxide and they produces 250 million tons of trash per year and only recycles 85 million tons. As we all know, the U.S is a developed country with high technology and there are not too much population in the U.S. but it still causes a huge amount of pollution. Albania strongly suggests the developed should use their high technology to solve the environment problems and cause less pollution. Strongly hopes the developed country help the developing countries and less economically developed countries (LEDCS) to solve the environment pollution problem. The delegate of Albania strongly hopes that suggestion can be constructive and useful. Thank you, The delegation of Albania yields the floor back to the chair
Honorable Chair, Esteemed Fellow Delegates, The delegation of Thailand feels that it is necessary for developing and undeveloped countries to develop more; however, it is a huge challenge for every country. Developing countries and undeveloped countries cannot afford high expenses for efficient technologies. Therefore, they always use less efficient technologies, which causes more pollution. Pollution is the big issue that affects all countries. For example, for nearly 3 years, the water, air and land pollutions in Thailand are getting worse. The resource of clean water is decreasing, and the noise and dust pollution are enveloping the whole Bangkok. In addition, there are more and more phenomena of throwing toxic Substances on the land. The environmental organizations explained that Thailand focused on the economic growth more while ignoring the ecological and environmental protection. Thailand prefers less pollution to advanced development. So there are some suggestions for all the delegations. Thailand strongly supports that developed countries would provide some efficient technologies, which make less pollutions for developing and undeveloped countries to help them develop. Another one is developing countries and undeveloped countries should use more clean energy to develop when possible. Even though it will cost huge expenses, it is good for controlling pollution, and protecting surroundings.
Thanks You,
The delegation of Thailand the floor to the Chair
1. About problem “Development and Pollution” Honorable Chair, Fellow Delegates, The delegation of China feels that both developed countries and developing countries should focus on reducing pollution rather than developing economy. China observed that most LEDCs have less fund in developing low-pollution technologies. So, the result is, the environment is becoming worse and worse. It is every country’s responsibility to protect the environment. China has already decided to increase the fund for pollution treatment and clean energy technologies to 1,500 billion RMB (Almost 4% of GDP) since 2010. China wishes that a solution will be raised to encourage both MEDCs and LEDCs to put more fund in pollution treatment. China also hopes member countries implement sustainable development policy. At last, China strongly wishes that governments should develop renewable and clean energy instead of using high-carbon energy. The delegation of China hopes for innovative ideas to be given on this issue. Thank You, The delegation of China Yields the floor to the Chair 2. About problem “The Obesity Pandemic” Honorable Chair, Fellow Delegates, The delegation of China feels that member countries should control the growth rate of obesity. As the quality of life enhances, people now are facing a new problem—“Obesity Pandemic”. According to WTO’s research, worldwide obesity has already doubled since 1980. The obesity can cause a lot of problems such as heart diseases, diabetes and so on. So it is time for all the member countries to consider the Obesity Pandemic seriously. China wishes all member countries can spend more funds in order to remission the obesity problem. China also hopes all member countries can join WTO, to share experience of overcoming chronic diseases. The delegation of China is looking forward to more effective way in solving this issue in debate. Thank You, The delegation of China Yields the floor to the Chair
Position Paper Honorable chair, fellow delegates, the delegate of Botswana thinks that the water pollution is very serious in Botswana. Botswana, which is a southern African country, does not have so much water to use. This is a serious problem in Botswana. And there are a lot of water pollution, so in Botswana, the people may feel very happy when it is raining, and people in Botswana also use pula, which means rain in Setswana, as the name of the money of Botswana. Please imagine walking miles and miles each day to a river for looking for water, but only bring dirty and polluted water which is full of nasty smells and carries all kinds of disease back to yourself and your family, which is Botswana people doing now; how would you feel! If you do not want to get sick, you had better not to drink the water; but if you do not drink that kind of water, you will die of thirst. This is a great challenge for all the people in Botswana! So, the delegate of Botswana strongly hope that this problem can be effectively solved! Thank you! The delegate of Botswana yields the floor back to the chair!
1. Topic: Development and Pollution Honorable chair, and fellow delegates,
The delegation of the UK feels that all the member states should pay more attention on reducing pollution than development. The UK understands the need and the importance of development, but there are already lots of serious problems about air pollution, land pollution, and water pollution, and it is very clear that keep only focusing in development would make environment worse and worse. In 1952, The UK had to face a very serious smog pollution which was caused by development. Then the UK had established Clean Air Act (1968) to reduce producing smoke in the factories. The UK wishes every member states to establish laws about controlling and reducing wastes. The UK further wishes all the countries to use more Eco technology and renewable sources, such as solar energy and geothermal power generation, as using non-renewable sources of energy has increased Greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. The delegation of the UK also hopes for more effective solution in debate.
Thank You,
The Delegation of the UK would like to Yield the floor to the Chair
2. Topic: The Obesity Pandemic Honorable Chair, and fellow delegates,
The delegation of the UK feels that the member states should control and try to reduce the number of obesity. As the quality of life is improving, the number of obesity is increasing and it has been a serious health problem especially in the developed countries, such as the US and the UK. In the UK data from 2010 shows that 26.1% of adults are obese, and the data from 2004 shows that 34.1% of children are obese. Obesity can cause many diseases such as heart problems, diabetes, and cancers, but according to the WHO, obesity is largely preventable. The UK wishes developed countries to tell their citizens to control their calories, and establish obesity tax to reduce the obesity rate. The UK strongly wishes developed countries to establish the laws to tell the companies and schools making enough time to exercise, as the short exercising time is causing the childhood obesity. The UK also hopes for more effective solution in debate.
Thank You,
